WHAT IS PLAGIARISM ? 

Plagiarism is an act that take idea, writting and action from other people and claiming it is ours. For example, you came up with a idea that can help people to find information easily but your friend took the idea and use your idea to other people and said that the idea from itself and they reward your friend. That's one of the example of plagiarism. 

How to prevent plagiarism ? 

  • Paraphrasing - Expressing the meaning of (the written or speaker or something written or spoken) using different words especially to achieve greater clarity. 
  • Referencing - Provide a book or article with citations of authorities.

Step to Paraphrasing 

  • Reword - Find a word by using synonyms. 
  • Rearrange - Active to passive, passive to active. 
  • Recheck - Make sure the meaning is same as original topic. 

Example: 

  1. Student must be given freedom to use their mobile phone in the classroom. It can be used as learning tool for the students to search for extra notes or explanation. Answer: Undergraduated should be given a privilege to use their mobile phone in the classroom. So, it can be used as studying tool for the undergraduated to look for information.
